It aired on ABS Channel 3 (later 2) from 1967–1972 and from 1986–1987 after the resumption of operations as a single network following the People Power Revolution. It became the first newscast to use Filipino, predating ''GMA Balita'' for 19 years and ''TV Patrol'' by 20 years. It is also the title of ABS-CBN's Mega Manila AM radio station DZMM's hourly newscasts. ==Airing history== ''Balita Ngayon'' debuted on November 20, 1967, and aired daily from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays.
